Motorized knobs

Every knob is already in place.

Change track or page and all eight knobs turn to the new values together. When you reach for one, it's sitting at the real value, so nothing jumps.

The motors also give each parameter its own feel: steps for switched values, a firm stop at each end of the range.

Halos and scribble strips

The exact value, at every knob.

A 21-segment halo shows where each parameter sits. The scribble strip under it names the parameter and shows its value: Mid Gain, −2.2 dB.

Press the button below a knob to switch it to a second parameter, such as Mid Freq to Mid Q.

Three modes

Mixing, channel strip and sends.

MIXLevel and pan for eight tracks.
STRIPThe selected track's EQ and dynamics.
SENDSThe selected track's sends and cue levels.

The glow around every knob takes the mode's color, so you can tell which one you're in from across the room.

Questions

When does it ship?

The ship date is announced when pre-orders open. Join the waitlist and you'll get that email first.

How much will it cost?

The price is announced with pre-orders, in the same email.

Does it have faders?

No. ARC Surface 8 is built for knob work: plugins, sends and channel strips. In MIX mode the knobs set level and pan for eight tracks, and it sits happily next to a fader controller.

Mac or Windows?

Both. The ARC app runs on macOS and Windows. Logic Pro itself is Mac only.

Will it work with my plugins?

The knobs follow the plugin on the selected track through your DAW's own control-surface support. A list of tested plugins will be published before pre-orders open.
